What's in the deck

LOW
15 low-effort cards — 5-15 mins, minimal brain required. Toast, eggs, tinned stuff, frozen meals.
MED
15 medium-effort cards — 15-25 mins. Stir-fries, pasta, quesadillas, fried rice. Real meals, not much effort.
HIGH
10 high-effort cards — 25-45 mins. For the good days. Roasts, bolognese, tray bakes.
Australian-friendly meals — real ingredients, supermarket staples, no obscure items.
Effort + quick-note on each card — what it is and roughly how long it takes, so you know before you commit.
Cut-and-keep format — 6 A4 sheets, 40 cards total. Print on card stock for best results.

How to use it

  1. Print the card pages (pages 3-7) on A4 — card stock if you have it
  2. Cut along the dotted lines — 40 cards total
  3. Sort into 3 piles: Low, Medium, High effort
  4. Keep piles on the fridge or kitchen bench
  5. When the freeze hits, pick your energy level and pull the top card

This is for you if…

  • "What's for dinner?" is a daily source of dread or argument
  • You end up eating the same three things because deciding is exhausting
  • You want something physical to reach for — not another app
  • Your family or housemates could also pull a card instead of asking you
